One Week In, Rutgers' $24 Million Roster Just Lost to a Team Making a Fraction of It
UMass is guaranteed roughly $3 million in revenue-share and NIL money for 2026. Guaranteed, meaning they don't even have to go fundraise for it — it's already in the bank. Rutgers plays in the Big Ten, where the median roster cost for 2026-27 is projected at around $24 million — about $15 million in revenue sharing and $9 million in third-party NIL on top of it.
